Writing and Drawing Practices in Architecture - One on One Mentoring Programme

Join our 12-week online One on One Mentoring programme to approach your authentic self and to integrate your voice in your design thinking more thoroughly.

You wiill develop a correspondance of collaborative writing and drawing with Viktorija.

Each session will be completely devoted to the questions and challenges you have regarding the pre-recorded lessons or the struggles you experience in your creative practice.

The "answers" and "solutions" to your problems will be approached through an embodied practice of collaborative drawing.

We recommend the One on One Mentoring programme to those who create more joyfully when working alone with a mentor. This course is for architects, students of architecture, writers and artists who want to step into a deeper level of understanding and integration of their spatial intelligence in their creative work.

You will learn how to:

  • experience architecture through combined writing and drawing
  • select, extract, evaluate and re-create spatial values
  • imagine a transformation of a place through mixed media
  • read the environment through your own spatial intelligence
  • cultivate your own language of imagining places
  • work with the spatial memory of emotional experience

You will get:

✔︎ Lifetime access to our 12-week online "Urban Storytelling Course" with 11 pre-recorded lessons (1 lesson/week).

✔︎ Downloadable worksheets for each lesson

✔︎ 11 weekly individual (one on one) drawing online sessions with Viktorija (90 minutes)

+

✔︎ BONUS: Audio recordings of all lessons

✔︎ BONUS: Access to our online Exhibition Studio community circle

✔︎ BONUS: 1 live online exhibition review of the works in the final 12th week of the programme

Past participants have learned to use the techniques of contemplative writing and drawing as channels of directing their creativity into a cultivated relationship between who they truly are and what they design. Reaching an intense depth in simultaneous self-cognition and close-reading of the place of research, they succeeded to communicate and discuss their embodied experience as a crucial design ingredient, as something that matters as in both building and creatively destabilizing their ‘position’ in design practice.

We can't wait to join you on this journey!

Yours,

Viktorija & David

What People Are Saying:

I'll call it a journey. To forgotten and not yet known shades, forms, feelings, words and compositions. Each week it notoriously started with confusion and doubt, and ended with clarity and magic. I believe in the power of travel buddies. In architecture and life. And I am so grateful I shared this one with Viki, my compassionate co-human, who sees beauty even in dusty corners and leans in the messy process of rediscovering inner landscapes through your own hands with you ♥

Viktorija’s approach seems easy and effortless to be led by. Dialog, drawing, and occasional poems as a not so common medium to everyone were introduced as scriptures of one’s thoughts, and then they became habitual. The answers are never served on a platter, the sole interaction leads the mentees to get to them on their own, to find their voice and vision and imprint it on the project. A unique form of contemplating architecture.

Viktorija Vitanova

Viktorija thought me to let my hands be instruments, that do not demand systematic perfection, but yearn for leaving an imprint. Line by line, I was slowly learning to talk to myself. To give myself a voice. To give myself a space. So I was and I am discovering drawing, because it makes sense to be myself and to read the world in the way that I am reading it.
